REAL Fundraising is now officially a Certified B Corp. Since REAL was founded in 2009 we have sought a way to measure our values of Respect, Ethics, Activism & Love. B Corp does just this. A public register of companies that are using business as a force for good, both for the planet and the people on it. REAL is extremely proud to not only have passed the assessment and signed the declaration of Interdependence but to join a community of businesses that are working to make the world a better place.

We won’t stop here though!

Becoming a B Corp means that we have already come a long way in our 9 years and stuck fast to our original plans of using business as a force for good. We are now part of an exclusive club of 3393 B Corp companies worldwide and only 254 in the UK. As a business we know that we are on the right path. But, it doesn’t stop here. As part of being a B Corp we will be reassessed every 2 years, we have set ourselves stretching targets to improve each aspect of our business for the better.

What’s B Corp all about?

“B Corporations are leaders of the global movement of people using business as a force for good. They are businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency and legal accountability, to balance profit and purpose. B Corps are accelerating a global culture shift to redefine success in business and build a more inclusive and sustainable economy.”

You can find REAL’s B Corp profile and see how we did in the assessment here.

How can you get involved?

  1. Celebrate the change-makers — Follow the #BTheChange on Twitter and discover more about the people, organisations and other businesses that are using the power of business as a force for good. Remember to also always look for the B Corp logo.
  2. Help recruit a B — Do you know a company that should be a B Corp? Or maybe a company that might be interested in using the B Impact Assessment to measure what matters? If you know a great business that belongs in our community, let them know.
  3. B a better business — Take the free B Impact Assessment or recommend a company to take it. Used by the 15,000+ of the world’s leading businesses to assess, compare, and improve their social and environmental impact.
